Miss Katherina Martu Hopkins
Board Member, Founder & CEO

Katherina Martu Hopkins is the CEO of BASA Online Fashion Store, Board Member and Founder of BASA International (Liberia) Limited. She is motivated by her love for learning and succeeding. She believes in the African culture, African products, and the vision to make Africa a place conducive for all Africans.
 
This is only possible if all Africans cherish what they produce, their innovations, inventions and embrace their cultural heritage. She strives to become an outstanding, a successful and leading businesswoman in today’s business world.
 
Katherina also keeps a keen interest in fitness and enjoy shaping people’s lives and teaching them how to live a fitful and healthy lifestyle. Katherina has over 3 years’ experience in finance and administration at reputable institutions in Liberia and at least 4 years managing and running the BASA online store with over 10,000 customers in Liberia,
 
Africa, and the United States. Miss Hopkins studies for a Bachelor of Business Administration with concentration in management and accountancy at the Stella Maris polytechnic university.

Leroy N. S. Kanmoh, Sr.
Director & Co-Founder

Leroy N. S. Kanmoh, Sr. is the Director, co-founder, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of BASA International (Liberia) Limited. Leroy has a worth of experience working for both local and international organizations in Liberia and Africa. He has more than 13 years’ experience in investment facilitation, education, performance management, business development, research, mainstream journalism, corporate communications, community development and mobilization, administration, and operations.
 
Mr. Kanmoh has managed several projects worth millions including projects funded by the European Union, Irish government, UBS, and Kind philanthropy among others. His latest project is the Cassava Transformation Project under the West African Competitiveness Program funded by the European Union. Leroy N. S. Kanmoh, sr. holds Bachelor of Business Administration and completing a Master of Arts degree in International Relations.  Mr. Kanmoh has strong skills in conducting assessments, measuring performances, developing high-level, in-country business strategies for organizations. 
 
Leroy currently leads a team of diversified, experienced, well equipped professionals at BASA to deliver high quality results for Liberia.
Charles Brewer

Charles Brewer
Business Development, Research & Technology

Charles Brewer has been an entrepreneur for over 15 years now and with solid years of experience in business development, investment research, marketing, and SMEs development services. He has co-founded 3 for-profits and 4 not-for-profit organizations. On a part-time basis, he provides digital marketing consultancy to several businesses in and out of Liberia and particularly enjoys coaching small businesses and individuals on sustainable saving and investment practices. 

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Public Administration and has several certificates in Data Science (Marketing Research, Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Programing, etc.).

Ishmael Turner
Finance and Investment

Ishmael Turner is a highly experienced professional in Finance & Administration, Human Resource, Procurement and Warehousing; hardworking with proven leadership ability, strong organizational background for over nine (9) years of engagement within the private sector-international concessions, NGOs and USAID projects; excellent at initiating and maintaining institutional relationships with local government authorities etc. played leadership roles, providing advisory services to managements and contributing to organizational strategies.
 
A result driven generalist in general Administration, Corporate Financing, Procurement, Human Resourcing – Recruitment & Retention, Performance Management, Reporting, etc.
 
He holds a BBA in Accounting and Human Resource Management, A master’s in Finance and several certificates.
